The basics

Haunted Little Tokyo is a 21+ event. Bring a valid ID — we check at the door. RSVP is free — a $5 donation at the door is suggested, never required. An RSVP doesn't guarantee entry if we hit capacity. Entry is a revocable license, not a right — organizers may refuse or revoke admission at any time, for any reason. RSVPs are non-transferable — please don't share or sell your confirmation. DJs, performers, and programming are subject to change without notice.

Secret location

The location is shared with the RSVP list before the event. Please don't post it publicly — keep the secret alive.

Costume contest

Enter as an individual or group through the linked signup forms. Finalists perform on stage in the evening; winners are chosen by popular vote (individual) and our guest judges (group). Judges' decisions are final.

Conduct

Respect the neighborhood, the venues, and each other. Obey street closures, posted signs, and directions from security and law enforcement. Organizers may refuse entry or remove anyone being disruptive, no questions asked. Harassment, fighting, or threatening behavior means immediate removal and possible referral to law enforcement.

Alcohol

No outside alcohol. If you're visibly intoxicated, you may be removed. Please drink responsibly and don't share drinks with strangers.

Prohibited items

Leave these at home — security may inspect bags at entry:

No weapons of any kind, real or realistic-looking — including as costume props. Prop weapons must be obviously fake. No illegal drugs or paraphernalia. No outside alcohol. No glass bottles or containers. No fireworks, sparklers, or explosives. No laser pointers. No drones. Large backpacks and oversized bags may be refused at entry.

Masks & ID check

Costume masks come off at the door for ID verification. No exceptions.

Weather & cancellation

The event may be modified, postponed, or cancelled for weather, safety, or permit reasons. Donations are not refunded.

Pets

Service animals only, please.

Photos & video

This is a public block party — you may be photographed or filmed, and event media may be shared publicly. By attending, you grant the organizers the irrevocable right to use your image, likeness, and voice in event photos and videos, in any media, without compensation.

Liability

You attend at your own risk. Outdoor nighttime events carry inherent risks — crowds, limited visibility, loud music, uneven pavement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive and release the organizers, sponsors, and venue partners from any claims arising from your attendance. Organizers aren't liable for lost items, injuries, or anything that goes bump in the night. If the organizers are found liable despite the above, their total liability is capped at $100.

Medical

If you're hurt or ill at the event, you consent to emergency first aid and medical treatment. If you're feeling sick, please stay home.

Indemnification

If your actions cause harm or get us sued, that's on you — you agree to cover the organizers' costs.

Disputes

Any dispute goes to binding arbitration in Los Angeles, California — not court. You waive any right to a jury trial or to bring claims as a class action.

Severability

If any part of these terms doesn't hold up, the rest still does.

Governing law

These terms are governed by California law.
